YMCA Summer Work Student Exchange

Are you 16 or 17 this summer? Are you interested in travelling across Canada and earning while you learn? The YMCA Summer Work Student Exchange is a program allowing participants to immerse themselves in their second language while working and exploring in a local community. Students in the program engage in a reciprocal homestay swap with another participant for 6 weeks in a different province, and are provided with a full-time job in the area. Additionally, events are run for the local group of 8-10 students 3 times a week, covering a wide range of events. In the Guelph program last summer, we cooked for the Wyndham house, spent the day at Emerald lake, and even went to Canada's Wonderland! The program dates for this year are June 28th to August 9th.
